Tour Plan

1st day : Arrival to Errachidia – Merzouga

On the first day of your 3-day tour in the Merzouga desert, we will pick you up from the airport. Then, we'll drive south to the Merzouga Sahara desert. You will have dinner and spend the night in Merzouga.

2nd day : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia the Gnaoua village – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

After breakfast, we will spend the day exploring the Merzouga area. This region is full of amazing places, such as sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil sites, and beautiful oases, which are perfect for many outdoor activities.

First, we'll drive off-road to visit an old eyeliner mine. Next, we'll visit nomads in their handmade woven tents, where you can see how they live and enjoy a cup of Berber tea. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you will experience Gnaoua music and dancing. The people in this village come from countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You'll have free time for lunch at a restaurant.

After lunch, we'll take a walk through a grove of palm trees and then drive a short distance to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingo Lake.

In the afternoon, you'll ride camels across the sandy desert. We'll stop on top of a high dune to watch the sunset before continuing to the luxury camp. Here, you can enjoy Berber drum music and dance around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the camp.

3 day : Merzouga- Rissani – Erfoud – Errachidia airport

Waking up early is essential to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After some free time for breakfast, you'll ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver will be waiting for you.

Depending on your flight time, we will leave the desert to visit Rissani town. Once the ancient capital of Tafilalet, Rissani is still an important trading center in the region. After a walk through the Rissani market, we'll continue to Erfoud to visit a workshop that specializes in fossilized marble.

Next, we'll drive to Errachidia, stopping along the way to enjoy stunning panoramic views, including the spectacular sight of the Ziz valley. Finally, we'll reach Errachidia airport, marking the end of our desert tour.
