Tour Plan

Morocco tour from tangier On day one, we’ll meet you at the port, briefly visit Cape Spartel’s lighthouse, and explore the nearby Cave of Hercules. After lunch, we’ll drive through the Rif mountains for stunning views, reaching Chefchaouan – a charming, blue-drenched city. Chefchaouen’s all-blue medina features a Spanish-style square bordered by artsy shops, rooftop dining, and cafes. Enjoy an evening stroll before dinner and a night in a local riad.

After your breakfast in the riad our authentic journey will start towards Volubilis crossing via Wazan and other rif villages. At Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about this archeological site of Moroccan history. We will then make our way to Meknes, a city with much 17th-century heritage, where we will stop for lunch, hang around the historical walls of the medina, see the bab el mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail shrine. Finally, our journey takes us to Fez where we will spend the night at a traditional riad.

Today we will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco tour from tangier, walking in its alleys and small streets. Begin your visit at the Royal Palace gate and explore the Jewish quarter, Morocco’s earliest Mellah established in the 16th century. Immerse in cultural and historical sites, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the world’s oldest, along with the tanneries, Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, discover the tile cooperative and enjoy a panoramic Medina of Fes view.

Your driver/guide will pick you up just after breakfast in Fez our Moroccotour from tangier continue. We will travel through the mountains, passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys live. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Take a break for lunch in one of the small Berber villages. We continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains until we reach the apple city of Midelt where we will enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a local hotel.

Enjoy breakfast before starting the  Morocco tour from tangier trip to the Sahara. Travel through the beautiful Ziz river valley, arriving at Rissani where we may be able to see cloth, spices and livestock for sale if we’re lucky enough to visit on a market day. Enjoy lunch here before continuing farther into the desert to the village of Khamlia. This village is famous for its rich musical culture and we will enjoy a performance by a group of local musicians. Afterwards, we will travel to another village at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dune formation, the tallest in all of Morocco.

You can leave your luggage at a local hotel here and stop to enjoy a cup of mint tea while you meet your camel guide. In the late afternoon, you’ll hop on the caravan and your camel trekking guide will lead you deep into the heart of the sand dunes to our desert camp. The camel ride is 1.5 to 2 hours during which you’ll see a spectacular desert sunset. At the camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and drumming around the campfire before you sleep under the stars or in a classic wool nomad tent (khaima).

Wake up early if you want to see the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi and return by dromedary to the inn, where breakfast is waiting. Your driver will then ferry you to the steep cliffs of Todra Gorge where you can explore a little on foot before continuing to the Dades Gorges where we will stop for lunch and have an opportunity to see the famous monkey fingers rock formations. In the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate, the centre of Morocco’s film-making industry. At this gateway city between the desert and the mountains, we will settle in for dinner and a night spent in a local hotel.

Today we travel through the valley of a thousand Kasbahs. In particular, we’ll stop at Ait Benhaddou, the UNESCO heritage site. This well-preserved fortress takes you back in time to the days of the ancient trade routes between Moroccan cities and the whole of the African sahara. Enjoy lunch nearby before continuing on to Marrakesh. We’ll check into a local riad in the city and end of our 7 days Morocco tour From tangier.
