Tour Plan

first of all our Morocco fez desert tour ,Your driver/guide will pick you up just after breakfast in Fez. We will travel through the mountains, passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys live. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Take a break for lunch in one of the small Berber villages. We continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains until we reach the apple city of Midelt where we will enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a local hotel.

Enjoy breakfast before starting the trip to the Sahara. Travel through the beautiful Ziz river valley, arriving at Rissani where we may be able to see cloth, spices and livestock for sale if we’re lucky enough to visit on a market day. Enjoy lunch here before continuing farther into the desert to the village of Khamlia. This village is famous for its rich musical culture and we will enjoy a performance by a group of local musicians. Afterwards, we will travel to another village at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dune formation, the tallest in all of Morocco.

You can leave your luggage at a local hotel here and stop to enjoy a cup of mint tea while you meet your camel guide. In the late afternoon, you’ll hop on the caravan and your camel trekking guide will lead you deep into the heart of the sand dunes to our desert camp. The camel ride is 1.5 to 2 hours during which you’ll see a spectacular desert sunset. At the camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and drumming around the campfire before you sleep under the stars or in a classic wool nomad tent (khaima).

Wake up early if you want to see the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi and return by dromedary to the inn, where breakfast is waiting. Your driver will then ferry you to the steep cliffs of Todra Gorge where you can explore a little on foot before continuing to the Dades Gorges where we will stop for lunch and have an opportunity to see the famous monkey fingers rock formations. In the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate, the centre of Morocco’s film-making industry. At this gateway city between the desert and the mountains, we will settle in for dinner and a night spent in a local hotel.

Morocco fez desert tour Today we travel through the valley of a thousand Kasbahs. In particular, we’ll stop at Ait Benhaddou, the UNESCO heritage site. This well-preserved fortress takes you back in time to the days of the ancient trade routes between Moroccan cities and the whole of the African sahara. Enjoy lunch nearby before continuing on to Marrakesh. We’ll check into a local riad in the city and enjoy dinner there before getting a good rest this night.

Today we will take a break from highway travel and experience a tour of Marrakesh with a local guide. Explore the souk around the famous square of Jemaa el fna with the iconic koutoubia mosque tower. Our Marrakesh tour offers the opportunity to see many noteworthy sites, including the Bahia Palace and the Menara with its lush olive groves. After a day of taking in the city, retire to the riad in the evening for dinner and sleep.

After breakfast, we continued our Morocco fez desert tour venture out on the road again, this time heading to the coastal city of Casablanca. Here we will have a chance to see the marvellous Hassan II Mosque, the largest functioning mosque on the entire African continent. We’ll have time for a little walk and a stop fur lunch before we continue to our nation’s capital, Rabat. This city is known for it’s botanical sights such as the Andalusian gardens and historical attractions such as the Hassan Tower, Chellah, and numerous mausoleums. We will explore a little in the afternoon before dinner and a night at a local hotel.

We depart from Rabat after breakfast and visit Volubilis, the ancient Roman ruins. After exploring the ruins, we will travel to the imperial city of Meknes. Here we will have lunch and explore the city a little in the afternoon. We will see the Bad Mansour, an elaborately-tiled city gate as well a the city’s great walls. Also recommended is a visit to the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the late afternoon, we will return to Fez and conclude the tour when we drop you off at the airport or at another location of your choice if you’re continuing your stay in Fez  end of our Morocco fez desert tour .
